And why not? Is it too simple to live your life in happiness? Too basic? Perhaps we need to be simple. Perhaps we need to go back to basics. Perhaps with this guide, the cynical negativity of today can dissolve like the words of the unpretentious song, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!” Using our own plain common sense, we can smile, be polite, do service, take care of our body-mind-spirit, laugh, attract people we like, and in the process become reasonably happy.

“Live life in Happiness. Why not?” Eight steps to happiness. A start, leading away from Ego to the Self, perhaps to realization. Perhaps to the discovery that, “Everyone must figure it out of themselves.” And then perhaps, just to have a better day, every day.

David has discovered some basic truths. Use this simple, yet powerful beginning, and build on his words by adding your own sweet zest in your journey to happiness.

Plan ahead

Planning ahead is not difficult; a lot of thought will be needed to make a good plan. It will help you to; take some quality time in thinking about what you want to do. What are your values? Why you want to do what you’re planning ahead for.Once have gone through this get you plan together. Go over the plan and know it forward and backward. Then test your plan and a trusted friend. Get the friends feedback on your plan. Make the adjustments that feel comfortable to you, and then proceed to put the plan inaction.

Look Ahead

Don’t wait tell you think you have the perfect plan because that will never happen. If you wait for the prefect plan, nothing will ever happen, put the plan inaction.

You will find out that some parts of the plan need to be changed, so change them. Keep moving ahead with you plan. Have some benchmarks on how the plan is working.

When you have your first set back, don’t stop or quit. If you do that you will never, get to where you want to go.

Your plan is a living document. It will change as things change and that is what it should be. The decisive thing is to keep working your plan and measuring how your’ doing.

By doing this, your journey will be a pleasurable one and the plan will help you to get where you wanted to go.

If you want to get ahead you have to ask.

Ask questions it really helps. People won’t bite your head off if you ask a question. Here is an example of why you should ask questions.

Ask questions for help; ask to be a friend and help people by asking questions. That is all you have to do.

This is my first major ask for help question. I was in college and wasn’t good at English and my professor new it. I went up to the professor after class and asked if I could have conference with him and he said yes.

I got to the conference a little early because I wanted to show the professor that I was serious. It must have helped because we talked out about what it was going to take to improve my English skill.

First he told me to come to the lectures and take good notes. He knew I was in class all time then after looking at my notes, he said I had the part right.

Second he said as soon as I could after the lecture to read the materials assigned and re-read my note.

Third now I was to go over what I have read and highlight what I felt was the most important items.

Lastly, before the exam I was to re-read my note and text that I had highlighted.

Then I should him some of the poems I had written and he thought they were good.

I left the professors office feeling a lot better than when I went in. The professor and I became friends and I never had a problem in his class after are meeting.

When asking someone to be your friend, do some homework first. Does this person have the same interests as you? Do they have an energy level equal to yours? If you match in these things, then peruse building a friend ship with this person.

Last ask question to help people. Start by listening and then ask a question or two, then listen some more. What you will find people have the answer to their own issues and by letting them talk about them they will find the solution.

Listening is a very powerful tool to help others, so before you start telling others what you think is the right solution for them, stop and listen and let them come up their own answer.

By asking question you can help yourself and others. Your journey of life will be filled with so many rewards by asking questions and listing.

Healthy eating

Out of 1036 people polled 939 voted yes. That is 91% and that a high percentage.

Now let’s look at why people value health so much more than wealth. This so obvious, but I have to say it. Without your health, it is harder to build wealth. When your’ not healthy, you have to spend so much time try to retain you health. Thus, you don’t have time to spend on building your own wealth.

Lets take a different tack. What if we were living in forest hundreds of miles from any even small cities. Having money won’t be that beneficial because you could live off the land. You could clear an area and you the trees you cut down to build a house. Then use the cleared land to grow thing to eat. You could also hunt to give you fresh meat. You could also fish in nearby streams and lakes.

You won’t be of need of a bank. Now I will make this sound simple, because we know there are a lot more things that need to be done, but the ideas are you and your family could survive and had a happy life, if you enjoyed that kind of live.

Now let’s look at reality as it is today in the USA. To survive you need money for you housing, food and clothing. We get that money by working. The work we do is based on our ability to achieve certain tasks. Now we tack that money to cover our living expenses.

Though we want to be healthy, we need wealth to live in this society. As much as health is vital to us there still is a strong need to make money.

Here, is my thought’, as long as we are healthy we don’t think of not being unhealthy, so we spend much of our time gaining wealth. But, when our health starts to fail, our whole mind set changes.

This is when we start to see the value of health. So this is my thoughts, live the healthiest life style as you can. Then work at building wealth and we all know that wealth is so much more that money, its friendships, knowledge and giving.

If you do these things, you’ll be in the 91% and wealth will find its way to you.

Getting ahead

To get ahead you need others. They can be your teachers, your friends or someone who sees some hidden talent in you and one thing you do not want to does to these people is be grumpy to them. It is pretty obvious, but make sure you understand these people can be a great help to you getting ahead and you don’t want to turn them off.

Here is a story of a little girl that had a habit of being grumpy and when people would ask her a question she would respond with some grumpy remark. Like I can’t be bothered now or you don’t need to know that.

You can see if you were a person that would help her it wouldn’t take much for you to decide to help someone else and that’s too bad because she could really use some help.

As I mentioned earlier there is a world of people out there that will and want to help you, yes you. Learn to listen and thank these people for their thoughts and suggestions. You might not even like what they tell you but be respectful because you never know when they’ll have some ideas that can be really beneficial for you.

Trying to do everything you self to get ahead can slow you down to where you want to go and is if you ever get there.

Having others ideas can help broaden your knowledge base thus giving you more ideas on how to get where you going.

Once you learn that others an asset and can help you the sooner

you’ll get ahead.

So listen to others and make sure what they are telling you and your will on your way to getting ahead.

Here is a story of my Uncle Earl. He was many things and one thing he did well was being an inventor. Here is something he invented and he called it ONE UP.

That didn’t make so he kept going. There was TWO UP, THREE UP, FOUR UP, FIVE UP and the SIX UP and then he stopped. Now we all know what happened there was SEVEN UP and he became a great success.

What Uncle Earl did wrong he didn’t stick to it. Now Edison he did thousand of experiment before he invented the light bulb. What’s the point, if you believe in something and have a strong feeling that you ideas have merit the stay with it.

So many times I have seen people start something get a little set back and stop and move on to something else and it seem they never get anywhere in life.

My Dad always told me if you start something finish it. That has stuck with me all my life. I encouraged my son to always finish what they started and that has worked will for them. They both graduated from college and have become successful in life.

If you want to get ahead you have to follow your dreams and don’t let things get in your way. There was a guy name Walt Disney and he had a vision and today you can see all the success he had the pleasure he has brought to the world. But is you know he had ten major setbacks before he started to reach his dream.

To put it another way, don’t give up in what you believe in and in the long run you’ll get ahead.

Being with special people

Special people

When your’ with special people it does some positive things to you and here is what it does to me. It makes me feel good. Special people are normally givers in the sense go out of their way to help other.

Normally they have a special gift, meaning they are very good at something and will use that skill to enrich others. These types of special people don’t have to look for friends because everyone is their friend.

We all have special friends and can see the good they do in the world. Maybe we should let them know how much we appreciate what they do. Now they are not looking for fro award and or honors are stolid on them, but I think a comforting word from you would certainly make their day.

Even better ask if you can help them. You see they normally don’t get much help. Even if they say no, it is the intention that is important. One thing you can do and that is to tell other what wonderful things this special person is doing.

Let others know that if the world had more special people like your friend that world would be a much better place. As the story spreads about the wonderful things you special friend is doing there becomes more awareness to the issue and from that more good starts to be done.

It amazing to me how the word of mouth can have such positive impact, now you might say there are a lot of bad things that are said and I’ll agree with you. But, bad things don’t have any staying power and quickly forgotten. Positive things done by special people keep growing and move others to get involved.

When you get involved you become one of those special people and you start making the world a better place

Happy in a pot of gold

You can be if you want, but you’ll have to do some things that can take some time, like becoming an expert on something. Napoleon Hill said if you take thirty minutes a day and study something every day, within six months you can become a expect at the topic.

Become an expert at something and people that want to know about the topic will start coming to you for answers and that’s good. Today with the Internet it is easier than ever to let others know about your expertise.

You can start a blog; get on face book and twitter. In a short time the world will know about your expertise. Here is another one submit article and here is one place that is no cost to you and if you topic interests people that want to know about your expertise, your’ on your way.

The one I like is http://www.ezinearticles.com. It is easy to get started. Now create some products about expertise. E-books are easy product to sell. Also you can make a CD and sell that.

Let your imagination run wild, like speaking at local Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs. There is a thing called viral marketing some people think it is a new but in reality it has been around as long as people have been selling things.

It is real simple the more you let people know about your expertise and they have a keen interest in the topic ask them to tell the friends. Also get there E-mail address, home address and phone number, but if only thing you can get is the E-mail address that will work.

By the way you better be up to speed on using your computer because it is the center of you getting people to know about you. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on soft ware, because you can get it the Internet for FREE.

I so many things you can do build your business. Yes I said business, because you can get paid for you knowledge and why not you earned it.

Let's get wealthy

Wealth is so much more than money, but let’s starts with what it takes to gain financial wealth. What your’ going to find out that it is most of the things you have to do to have your life’s journey be one of fulfillment.

First you have to be willing to give of yourself before you can really find personal wealth. When you give of yourself you learn so much and then what happens is those that you helped, without you ever asking them, will be giving you back.

Don’t be afraid to help others because you will never know how and when they can and will help you to your wealth goal.

Second, always treat everyone with the upmost respect. When you do they’ll treat you the same way. Why is that important? It is important because they will tell others how respectful you are of not only them, but of everyone. Others will then want to be with you and listen to what you have to say. In gaining financial wealth when you have people that want to listen to you is a great asset.

Third, when you know of others that can help your friends let you friends know. Your friends will greatly appreciate knowing a person that can help them and believe it or not more help will keep coming your way.

Not only by doing these things do you build you financial wealth, but you gains all the others parts of wealth. Great friends are worth more than you can ever realize. Keep building strong relationship and you’ll see how your life will change to a much higher lever.

So be willing to give of yourself, treat all people with respect and refer those that you know that can help other. When you do these things financial wealth will come your way without you even working at it.
